About All of This...

About the book and the author

The book is a memoir. More important, it is a record of the memories of love and hope for the future. While the person I knew has moved on and that future is gone, they have begun a new future and I can only wish them the best. All the best moments of them live on in my heart. I can only hope as people read this, they can feel that love.

The author is just another man who could not see what life had given him and he regrets the loss. His name is not important nor does it matter. He is just another speck of dust in a world of so many, that he will be forgotten when he is gone - like all the others before him.

Even only one person ever reads this story, I hope they can find something of value in the words and experiences of the life lived in the mind in a world in which he never belonged. As we all leave this place that we hold temporary ground, may the memories that we leave behind become the beacons of light for others to follow.

Special Dedication for Idylline

Life began as it normally does for most children. There was a large world to explore and family that adored her, especially her father. Her father was the guide that gave her strength. He led her through the years and protected her from the evils of the world. In all of this, the world had other plans for him, but he never let her worry. Even as adversity stuck him multiple times, he would continue to stand strong. As little Idylline admired her father, even with his faults, he would smile warmly and pat her on the head. He would often pick her up in his strong arms and promised that as long as he was alive she would be his angel that he could share with the world.

As Idylline's heart grew stronger, her father's body grew weaker. The world struck him trying to steal him away from his beloved daughter. He got up and said, "Not today. My Idylline needs me."

His enemy was not done and tried once more to take him and again he prevailed. In cherishing each moment he would have left with her, he tried to show his love the best way he knew how. Unfortunately on one fateful day, he would not be able to get back up. All Idylline wanted was for her father to hold her one last time. While he could not pick her up, he held her in his heart until the last. It was this love and adoration he had for her that truly strengthened her heart .
